2013 Annual Appeal
Achieve, Succeed, Recharge, and Join In….these are just some of the opportunities Our Lady of the Wayside is committed to providing to children and adults with developmental disabilities. The opportunity to live and thrive in a supportive home is one of the most important values to individuals with disabilities and their families. We invite you to join us in helping to create opportunity right here in your own community. Your gift will help us provide residential, respite, transportation and day programming services to those with developmental disabilities in over 50 neighborhood homes in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties. During this season of giving we thank you for your support and commitment to helping those with disabilities.
“Please give…because no one has ever benefited from an opportunity they never had.”-Terry Davis, President & CEO

2013 Starlight Guardian Humanitarian Award Luncheon
On Tuesday, November 12 we once again had the great fortune to honor two of the community’s greatest business leaders and humanitarians, Chris Zito and Edward F Crawford, at our 9th Annual luncheon at Executive Caterers Landerhaven. These are two remarkable people in their own respective ways. Ed Crawford has a record of putting people before profits and in doing so, has given so much back to the community, while Chris Zito has been very dedicated and hands-on with the Wayside since 1992.
With 667 people in attendance we were able to raise a record breaking $400,000! The Starlight benefit has raised nearly two million dollars since it was inaugurated in 2005. This year’s proceeds will help The Wayside open six new homes in Northeast Ohio and create opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The agency is grateful for the overwhelming support the Starlight event has generated over the years to provide services for approximately 500 individuals with disabilities in 52 neighborhood homes in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties.
We thank our sponsors and the generous benefactors who support us. Our success in providing quality services and programs depends on their support.
