A Message From Wayside President & CEO, Terry Davis...
Our Lady of the Wayside is thrilled to announce that it has moved its administrative offices to our former Guadalupe Facility. Months of renovations have been readying the space for the 50 employees staffing our Finance, Human Resources, I.T., Facilities and Development teams, as well as my office. This move is something we’ve worked toward for almost 10 years and during that time, the imagined administrative facility has enjoyed any number of working titles – chief among which has been Wayside World Headquarters.
It really does have a nice ring.
That said, moving has a way of compelling you to define what’s essential and leave the rest. This process has confirmed for us that the essence of Wayside is the agency’s wonderfully enduring concept of “home.” Our Lady of the Wayside began quite simply – and profoundly - as one home that supported one person with special needs. More than 50 years later, that one home is now 90 homes, with 4 Pathways Day Program sites, and a 160+ vehicle transportation fleet that all join together to support 900 children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Wayside has come a long way.
Much thanks to everyone who has worked to make Our Lady of the Wayside, Home to Opportunity!
