More than $110,000 was raised in support of Our Lady of the Wayside.

Giant Eagle presented the 9th Annual Grapes on Tour wine tasting event on Friday, April 25 at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.   The event was attended by more than 800 guests, who were treated to the most popular music and exhibits in rock and roll history and vintages from many of the finest wineries around the world.

“We are so grateful for the support and attendance at Friday's celebration,” said The Wayside’s President/CEO Terry Davis. “We are proud of the continued relationships with our Presenting Sponsor Giant Eagle, Executive Caterers and our "Grapes on Tour" home at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Friday's event will go a long way towards assisting us in accomplishing our goals to create opportunities and pathways for our residents and their families.”

Our Lady of the Wayside provides homes and programs for 182 children and adults who are mentally and physically challenged in 25 communities in Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties.

The event was attended by a large number of impressive local celebrities, including former Cleveland Browns heroes Judge Dick Ambrose and Al “Bubba” Baker. Personalities from FOX 8, 107.3 THE WAVE, THE PLAIN DEALER as well as WMJI-FM 105.7 were also in attendance.  Students from the Paul Green School of Rock Music kicked off the night’s entertainment with 22 promising musicians showcasing their talents.  Michael Stanley and friends played a stellar performance of his newest hits from his album “The Soft Addictions” as well as great classics. Other highlights included an additional $6,000 raised during live and silent auctions of fine art and other rock and roll related items. Celebrity hosts John Lanigan and Tony Rizzo auctioned off an American Airlines Sonoma California Wine Country Get Away and an Eric Clapton VIP Blossom Package featuring tickets and backstage parking for the May 31st show and a Grand Mayan Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico package was given away to “Open the Door” key promotion winner Marian Pence of Bay Village. The Silent Auction featured rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia from photographer Janet Macoska and art from Copper Moon Custom Framing and Design.
The presentation of the “Best of Grapes” as voted on by those in attendance was presented to “Best Red” Menage a Trois  while “Best White” was presented to Bonterra Chardonnay.

Grapes on Tour is presented by The Wine Collection at Giant Eagle and American Airlines and is produced by Our Lady of the Wayside.
