Our Lady of the Wayside's Music Therapy program offers our residents a chance to be a part of a choir group that practices regularly and showcases their accomplishments at various performances in the area. The "Sing and Sign" choir practices twice a week and the sign language is shown by those residents who are non verbal.

Music therapy provides residents with the opportunity to express themselves through music and sign language and gives them a wonderful outlet for their musical talents. Performances increase their self-esteem and teach them valuable social skills, which assist them in their daily lives.

While the Music Therapy program is critical to the well being of our residents, it is not eligible for federal reimbursement and is funded solely through individual donors and foundations.
