Pathways Garden Club
The Pathways Garden Club was created for the individuals who participate in Our Lady of the Wayside's Pathways Day Programs. The garden is a place where individuals learn through participation in gardening experiences.
This new opportunity became a reality with the help and support of volunteers, Wayside staff and through a continued professional partnership with Kohl's "Go Green" initiative. The individual participants learn to prepare the soil and then plant flowers, vegetables and herbs. Participants also enjoy feeding birds with their homemade bird feeders. As the garden grows and matures, future plans include making fresh salsa, strawberry shortcake and many other nutritious foods from produce in the garden.
Pathways Garden is a place that inspires individuals to learn from one another and creates a space for enjoyment of plants and other forms of nature.
