Cleveland's Finest Rasies Over $50K
Thursday's SOLD OUT Cleveland's Finest Hors d'Oeuvre Contest, presented by Zito Insurance Agency, was another record setting event and a fantastic way to kick off our 50th Anniversary. Congratulations to Corleone's Ristorante (1st - Chef Marlon Mayorga), Tree House /The Clifton (2nd - Chef Genevieve Larson) and Carrie Cerino's Ristorante (3rd - Chef Jim Bartko) on taking home awards! THANK YOU to our 'dream team' of chefs, hosts, volunteers, guests, and everyone who made the evening a success. We are so grateful for the support our friends and community continue to show us. More than $50,000 was raised for us to continue providing opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities here in Northeast Ohio. These funds will be going towards a new Pathways Day Program location in Summit County!

Celebrating 50 Years of Opportunities
For 50 years, Our Lady of the Wayside has been honored. Honored by the opportunity to roll up our sleeves along side family members, volunteers and Board members to do the next right thing for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Honored by the opportunity to work with public corporations, private companies, individual donors and governmental agencies to change the lives of the most vulnerable for the better. Best of all, Wayside has been honored to have the opportunity to earn the trust, friendship and love that comes with caring for someone special.
2017 Marks our 50th year of serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Golden Anniversaries are typically a time to pause and reflect, but that's really not the Wayside way...Continued on our blog.
Smart Business Pillar Awards
Last week we were honored to be a part of Smart Business' inspiration 2016 Pillar Awards for community service. This event not only recognizes philanthropy but also raises money to aid area charitable organizations. Wayside Board Chair Chris Zito presents David Bouffard, from Akron Children's Hospital and Doug Kern, from Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland with the Our Lady of the Wayside Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year Award. It was a pleasure to witness the wonderful philanthropy of so many businesses and organizations. We also enjoyed seeing many of our partners like Medical Mutual and the Cleveland Cavaliers in attendance. We are proud to be part of this incredible community.
